Why These Tools
Sudoku is a constraint-satisfaction problem dressed up as a newspaper game. Every puzzle starts with exactly enough given digits to force a unique solution, and the generator here verifies that before it lets you play. The solver uses naked singles, hidden singles, and as a last resort a backtracking search — the same sequence a careful human works through.
Minesweeper, sliding puzzles and Tower of Hanoi are queued next. Each one is a different flavour of the same underlying question: given a state and a set of moves, can you reach the goal without guessing?
