The PDF Page Rotator fixes orientation problems on any subset of pages without touching a desktop app — drop the file, pick which pages need turning and by how much, and download the corrected PDF in seconds.

Everything runs in your browser using the same pdf-lib engine that powers the PDF Merger and Splitter on this platform. No file reaches a server. A 50-page PDF that took two minutes to scan processes in under three seconds on a modern laptop.

Getting Your Rotated PDF in Three Steps

1. Drop or click to upload a PDF (max 100 MB). The tool reads the file locally — nothing is sent anywhere. Password-protected files are rejected immediately with the message "This PDF is password-protected — remove the password before rotating it."
2. In the Pages to rotate field, leave it blank to rotate every page, or type a range such as 1, 3-5, 8 to target specific pages. The selection summary below the field confirms exactly how many pages are queued before you click anything.
3. Choose a rotation: 90° CW (clockwise quarter-turn), 180° (flip upside-down), or 90° CCW (counter-clockwise quarter-turn). Click Rotate & Download. The file saves as filename-rotated.pdf.

What the Controls Do

• Pages field blank: all pages in the document are rotated by the chosen angle.
• Pages field with a range like 2-4, 6: only those pages are rotated. Pages outside the selection are written to the output unchanged.
• Angle buttons: the rotation is applied on top of whatever rotation the page already carries in the PDF. A landscape page already stored at 90° that you rotate another 90° CW comes out at 180°. Rotate it twice with the same button to compound the turn.
• Remove (X) button: clears the loaded file and resets all fields without reloading the page.

Supported Input Formats

• Files must end in .pdf. Other formats (Word, images, etc.) are rejected with the message "That file is not a PDF."
• Maximum file size is 100 MB — the same ceiling as the PDF Merger and Splitter. Files above this limit are rejected before any parsing occurs.
• PDFs with passwords or encryption that prevents content reading are unsupported. Remove the password first in your PDF reader, then re-upload.
• The output preserves all original content: text, images, annotations, bookmarks, and embedded fonts are passed through untouched. Only the rotation metadata on the targeted pages changes.
