Ukrainian uses the Cyrillic alphabet but has a distinct character set from Russian. It includes і (U+0456), ї (U+0457), є (U+0454), and ґ (U+0491) that do not exist in Russian. A layout using a Russian Cyrillic font may display boxes for those 4 characters. This generator uses Ukrainian vocabulary so those characters appear in the placeholder text, surfacing any font gap immediately.
The pool draws from common Ukrainian words. Text direction is left-to-right. All 4 output modes are available. Nothing is uploaded.
How to Use Ukrainian Placeholder Text
- Generate 1 Paragraph and inspect every glyph in the rendered output. Box characters at ї or є positions confirm the font is missing the Ukrainian-specific block.
- Generate 8 Words and paste into navigation labels to check widths at 1280px and 768px viewport widths.
- Generate 3 Paragraphs and compare the rendered height with the Russian equivalent at the same font size to confirm both variants fit your vertical spacing plan.
- Press Copy and paste into your design tool. The output is plain text with no invisible Cyrillic control characters.
What Each Ukrainian Character Tests in Your Font
- Noto Sans with the Cyrillic subset covers all Ukrainian characters. Roboto Cyrillic and PT Sans Cyrillic also include the full Ukrainian set including ї (U+0457) and є (U+0454).
- Some older Russian Cyrillic subsets omit ї and є. Paste 1 generated paragraph into a font inspector or use the browser DevTools character panel to confirm every glyph renders before presenting a Ukrainian mockup.
Accuracy Notes on Ukrainian Text Length
- Ukrainian body copy runs 10 to 20 percent longer than English, similar to Russian. Apply the same 25 percent buffer rule when sizing fixed-width containers, and test buttons at both their English and Ukrainian label widths before finalising.
